Platinum RTV Accelerator (Rapid Cure)
Rapid Cure is added to R-2000 Series RTV (Addition cure) rubber to quickly cure material. This special catalyst additive can be added at anytime to base rubber. **Never add Rapid Cure to component B.
Recommended Levels:
* 1% per/lb. = 30 min gel and 2 hour cure
* 2% per/lb. = 20 min gel and 75 min cure
Measurement:
* 1% = 4.5 gram/ lb
* 2% = 9 grams/ lb
Note: Pot Life (gel) will vary with each of the R-2000 Series Patinum RTV systems. Use the above recommended levels as a general starting point. Please test workability of silicone to assure good results. **Environmental conditions such as ambient temperature to hot weather will also affect the amount of pot life (gel).
To Control Material Gel Time, use RV 2000R. ADD 1% = 4.5 grams /lb to R2000B side
