Platinum Silicone Foam (SRF 2000)
SRF 2000 is a two-part, Platinum Based, liquid silicone polymer that cures to lightweight foam at room temperature. This material has been uniquely developed to simulate a life-like softness and texture for the Animatronic and FX industries. It’s fire retardant, non- toxic, and odorless. SRF 2000’s good tear strength and rapid cure time properties offer many uses: appliances, weight reduction for Platinum Skin membranes, lightweight-spongy parts, and void filler for custom applications. This system’s easy 1 to 1 mix and extremely low viscosity allows for easy hand mixing or use of two-component meter mix equipment. Mild heat will accelerate cure times.
Instructions for Use:
This product was designed to be mixed in the ratio of 100 parts by weight Part B to 100 parts by weight Part A. Weigh out the respective desired quantities of Part A and Part B, combine and mix thoroughly. Cure is typically achieved in 10 minutes at room temperature. When fast curing is desired, you can accelerate the curing cycle by heating the material at 100F 140F.

Processing Precautions:
Accurate measuring and complete mixing are important factors in obtaining consistent results. Avoid curing SRF 2000 near an open flame or while smoking. Avoid contact with acid, base or oxidizing materials, as SRF 2000 can generate flammable gas. Contamination by trace amounts of various compounds can result in unreliable cure and/or yellowing of the elastomer. Therefore, it is important to avoid contamination of the base and any surface/material to which the base may be exposed. All metering and mixing equipment, as well as any form into which the material is introduced, should be thoroughly cleaned. Organic rubbers often contain compounds that can interfere with the cure of the base and should be avoided. Also, any mold, form, or substrate to which this material is intended to be applied should by tested to determine that the cure of the product is not affected. Avoid Tin Based/Condensation Silicone mold or part surfaces. **See ADDITION CURE TECH SHEET
