Construction Silicone Coating (C-555)

Attention, open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

C-555 Construction Coating is a three-component, room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone rubber system. C-555 is applied by spraying, rolling, or brushing material over surface and will cure upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. Cure is complete in approximately 6 hours after application.

C-555 is engineered to exhibit excellent adhesion to a variety of surfaces, and provides superior resistance to weathering effects. This coating remains elastic under all weather conditions, from subzero temperatures to over 300F.

C-555 Construction Coating is excellent protective coating for new and existing roofing. It is permeable to water vapor, but not liquid water. Water vapors underneath the coating will pass through the membrane, thus avoiding water damage below the coating.

Instructions for Use:

C-555 is supplied as a three-part system: Dark Gray Base Coat (C‑555), Catalyst and Activator. Mix components by weight--Only when ready to use. C-555 should not be mixed and stored for longer than 24 hours. The material may thicken or settle during extended storage. Under such circumstances vigorous mixing will restore homogeneity and reduce the viscosity.
Mix Ratio: Part A: 100% (Base)
                Part B: 2%,
