RU-570 A/B is a clear urethane castable resin with good impact resistance developed for prototype applications, special effects, and light production where high clarity and durability are required. Because of building exothermal (chemical heat) reaction, size of parts may be limited.

Mixing Instructions:
De-air A & B components prior to mixing to removing any air in material. Mix A & B by the above ratio and de-air or pressurize in mold to remove air from the mixing process. The area where the RU-570 is processed should be controlled to eliminate dust and particles from mixture. Clear castings are sensitive to any foreign materials or air bubbles, which may appear during exothermic reaction if not processed properly. Clean mixing sticks and containers should be used. RU-570 should be sealed and stored in a dry area. A light mist of ER-2300 on back side of pour can reduce surface bubbles.

Casting:
RU-570 A/B must be cast in Platinum Silicone Molds or in a properly processed Tin Silicone Mold (R-1300 Series) that has been post cured at 150-200F for 4-6hours.   RU-570 A/B is a high-impact resistant material, which cannot be polished easily. For optically clear castings, use silicone molds made from polished masters. All parts must be cast in one-piece molds with no or little parting lines for best results.
